As his former quarterback coach, Luke Getsy was one of the closest people to Aaron Rodgers while he won back-to-back MVPs over the last two seasons. In fact, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that much of Getsy’s coaching likely helped Rodgers recalibrate and enjoy a stellar second act of his career.
But as Rodgers recently explained on the Aubrey Marcus podcast (which our Charles Curtis broke down), his use of ayahuasca apparently played an even more significant role in those MVP campaigns.
With Getsy now the Bears’ offensive coordinator, reporters asked him what he thought of Rodgers’ eye-opening reveal. More importantly, they asked him what he knew about the quarterback’s psychedelic use if he did at all.
Getsy’s response was positively sublime:
Bears OC Luke Getsy on Aaron Rodgers taking psychedelics: “I was not invited on those trips… Hey, whatever it takes, I guess.”
Would he like to have been invited?
Getsy: “Ehhhh… [walks off]”

I won’t deny it: That “[walks off]” absolutely slays me. That man doesn’t want to touch that topic with a 10-foot pole, and I don’t blame him.
