Los Angeles County firefighters and paramedics were able to free Woods from his vehicle and transport him to an area hospital.
Golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover vehicle accident in southern California, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department announced on Twitter.
Woods was driving on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes at 7:12 a.m. California time when his vehicle rolled over, the sheriff’s department said.
Firefighters and paramedics used the jaws of life to free Woods from the vehicle, then transported him to a local hospital. No details on Woods’ injuries were released.
The vehicle sustained major damage, the sheriff’s department said.
The accident remains under investigation.
